I am currently based at WWT as part of the Ecosystem Health and Social Dimensions (EHSD) team. As Principal Research Officer I focus on developing novel approaches to wetland research, with a determination to make a significant contribution to the restoration of wetlands globally. My approach to research includes consideration of environmental justice concerns, and draws on more-than-human and critical geographies.
My current areas and projects of focus include:
- Madagascar:
- ‘Following the Water’ in Madagascar, funded by the Global Centre on Biodiversity for Climate
- Cambodia: Wetlands and community livelihoods in the Lower Mekong Delta
- Wetland Learning Hub:
- Wetland Learning Hub: Empowering wetland conservationists in Madagascar, Cambodia and Senegal, funded by the Darwin Initiative Capability & Capacity Project.
- United Kingdom: Exploring the relationship between people and water in Somerset
- Research ethics and social safeguards
- Fieldwork safety for protected characteristics
