I am a Finlandssvensk researcher, born in Åbo, Finland and raised in Huizen, The Netherlands. In 2013 I completed my BSc Ecological Science with Honours in Conservation and Ecological Science at the University of Edinburgh (Scotland).

Following my BSc, I moved on to my PhD at the University of Leicester (School of Geography, Geology and the Environment), working with the Borneo Nature Foundation. My supervisory team included Prof Susan Page (University of Leicester), Dr Caroline Upton (University of Leicester) and Dr Mark Harrison (University of Leicester and Borneo Nature Foundation).
